WEEK 5 IS DONE! only 7 more to go! (womp)
Just kidding. It hasn’t been that bad. I think my body is finally starting to get used to the food because my cravings have gotten a lot better. I only cheated 3 times last week – THATS A NEW RECORD! and 2 of those 3 times were simply eating a few extra almonds. I’ll chalk that up as a win.
We did our 17.3 Crossfit Open workout on Friday and I must say — I KILLED IT. I did a squat snatch of 75 pounds which not only was a PR for myself, but I PLACED! I got second in the “women’s scaled” section. I felt like I had really pushed myself to a place I didn’t know I could push myself to.
Anyway, I lost 1.2 pounds this week. We have to check in with the coach every week, including pictures, and this week she told me she could tell that the changes were starting to happen but I’ll let you decide for yourselves.
PSA: This is the first time I have ever posted a picture online with this little clothes on. I am not confident in my *nearly* naked body. This is not an easy thing for me to do, but I think it’s important in order to prove my point that weight is just a number – you should ALWAYS take pictures during your journey. They’re more telling than your scale will ever be.

Every time I send these pictures to my friends, they get it wrong. So don’t feel bad if you’re wrong also 😉
I’ve been pretty much eating the same things over and over again – ground turkey burrito bowl and chicken pasta. Egg white omelettes or protein oatmeal for breakfast. I’ve become obsessed with Casein cookies (when I get carbs at night). I also just bought a new “workout carb” and protein combo that I’ll try tomorrow so I’m hoping it’s as delicious as I think it will be.
