#TGIT

Yes, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve updated, but I haven’t really had much going on. So then I need to decide whether or not to bore you with my boring life or to just skip the weekly blog post all together. So here we are – I’m not promising entertainment here, ya’ll. Just a heads up.

I’ve kind of taken a pause on dating… it’s so much work and tbh the disappointment over and over again is just notttt worth it to me right now. I’ve decided to start focusing on my house to-do list and trying to get back into my healthy eating routine and active lifestyle instead. If something comes along, then so be it. My match.com membership ends on the 31st and I am not re-signing up for it. I did have some entertainment last week going through ALL of my emails and saving some of the best ones. If you don’t follow me on snapchat, you’re missing out. Maybe I’ll post them on here some day.

I kept it pretty low key last week and last weekend. I made a to-do list and started working on things – replaced the garage light(s), got a new doorbell, reorganized a bunch of stuff, and my dad came over to slice down my “spindles” in the living room – WOOHOO! We went to Home Depot to pick up some supplies for when it’s re-done. We’re going to tile the top of it and I’m very excited about it. But first the wall needs to be taken down and that’s going to be a whole project in itself and I’m not sure when it’s going to get done but either way, I’m excited it’s been started.

I also finally finished my living room decor with some DIY. I built the two white shelves and painted them, and used some old wine bottles for the rest of the decor. That window has been on the wall for months just by itself and has looked pretty ridiculous so I’m pretty happy I finally completed the project.

I stayed in all weekend last weekend so that I could get some sleep, save some money and get some stuff done and I’m glad I did it. I got a lot accomplished and definitely caught up on some much needed sleep.

Kona had her second birthday this week, my baby is growing up so fast. She’s spent 3 days at work with me so far and I love being able to bring her there. I bought her a stuffed birthday cake toy for her special day and she hasn’t destroyed it yet… she carries it everywhere. It’s hilarious.

I’m trying really hard to get back to my old eating habits… mainly actually caring about what I eat. I went off the rail a little bit with the holiday season and I’ve been having issues getting back on. I started tracking my calories again this week and have started to set small, attainable goals to help me get back on track. For example… stop eating so many Qdoba chips (lol but really).

Not really too much to update otherwise. Adulting is still hard and I’m still always tired but we gotta keep on keepin on, amiright?
